Ornithological information The area is important for breeding and passage raptors and resident species of forest, scrub and arable land. Breeding birds include seven of the 21 species that are restricted in Europe to the Mediterranean biome (when breeding). Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aquila clanga (passage), Aquila heliaca (passage), Falco naumanni.
Site description The site is dominated by mixed Quercus and Fagus forest with Pinus plantations.
