Site description A complex of seven shallow artificial lakes constructed at the bottom of the former Lake Karla.

Key Biodiversity A site of great importance for migratory and overwintering waterbirds and foraging raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Phalacrocorax pygmeus (wintering), Aquila clanga (wintering), Gallinago media (passage).
