Ornithological information This is an important site for forest-nesting species.
Site description An area of lowland adjacent to the Croatian border in western Srem (Vojvodina), supporting vast forests of oak Quercus, with ash Fraxinus, poplar Populus, willow Salix, elm Ulmus, hornbeam Carpinus and maple Acer. Numerous depressions with swamp vegetation occur along with riverine forests along the Sava and Bosut rivers. Human activities primarily consist of intensive forestry and game hunting.

Management considerations The main threats are disturbance, logging of old-growth forest and gradual drainage of wetland areas.
