Crypturellus saltuarius - this taxon is not recognised by BirdLife International.

Crypturellus erythropus (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) was previously split into C. erythropus, C. columbianus and C. saltuarius following Stotz et al. (1996), who also split C. idoneus, but all these taxa are lumped into C. erythropus following SACC (2006).
