General characteristics
This Secondary Area is defined by the range of Karamoja Apalis Apalis karamojae (classified as Vulnerable) which occurs in north-east Uganda and the Serengeti plains (EBA 108). In Uganda, it is known from four sites, in riverine Acacia in the lowlands. It is threatened by habitat loss in Tanzania, but there is little information on its status or on any threats in the Ugandan part of its range.
