My experience at CAP by: Evelyn Runjugi

Background The BirdLife Council for the African Partnership (CAP) is the highest decision making organ in Africa. It brings together representatives from all 23 countries where BirdLife works in Africa. It constitutes of all Africa Partners, Partner Designate and Affiliates. Its inception meeting was held in Kenya in 1997 and since then, CAP has been meeting annually until 2008, when the meeting was changed to once every two years. At every meeting a chair is elected to serve until the next meeting. In 2012, CAP was held in Kenya for the third time from the 26th to 31ST March. The following are my personal impressions and lessons learnt during the meeting.

Africa CAP of Nations match ends in a 2 all draw

The meeting of the Council for the Africa Partnership (CAP - not to be confused with the European 'Common Agricultural Policy') which took place in Nairobi, Kenya, started ceremoniously, and ended with a bang - or rather, four bangs.
