I support the BirdLife Partnership to develop effective policy advocacy work, including leading BirdLife’s well-established engagement with the Convention on Biological Diversity.
Before Birdlife I was at UNESCO and before that for many years at the Brazilian Ministry of Environment.
May 22 is the International Day of Biological Diversity. This year the Convention on Biological Diversity has chosen the theme Water and Biodiversity, to coincide with the United Nations designation of 2013 as the International Year of Water Cooperation.
