Aves Argentinas: New tool for bird-banding studies

Ecofam Argentina, with support from Aves Argentinas (BirdLife Partner) is managing a new website specialised in records of banded sea and shore birds.

The site comprises files for species and banding projects in Argentina. There are plans to enlarge the target area to Uruguay, in collaboration with the group Averaves.

Interested observers could make on-line reports on sightings of banded birds. Information is delivered promptly to the leaders of the respective banding projects.
