Conservation Leadership Programme in 2010 – Video

Since 1985 the Conservation Leadership Programme (CLP) has been supporting teams of young conservationists to conduct innovative projects focusing on some of the world’s most endangered species and habitats.

To celebrate 25 years of building conservation capacity, a short film was put together which features case studies of projects in Brazil, Cambodia and Kenya. The film follows the personal stories of three remarkable leaders who have received ongoing support from the CLP over a number of years in terms of grants, training and connection with international conservation experts.

They are amongst the many exceptional CLP award-winners who have achieved outstanding successes and developed careers in conservation.

Awesome program, it was very interesting in learning what CLP stands for and the “good” this funding does for the inhabitance of this planet! I loved seeing video of the little turtles!! What these people do is truly herotic!

I worked at the Kenya Forests Working Group for a number of years. I can bear witness to how the CLP has helped both David and KENVO. This group has been a great example to other groups in Kenya. Many have learnt from them through exchange visits, one of which I was privileged to organise. The CLP works.

      Thank you Liz.

David certainly has done an amazing job at KENVO to protect the forest and improve people’s lives. It’s a great credit to CLP training in action.
