thanx manu, for such a nice work! The field of invasion biology is really fascinating to me. I remember the case of - cowbird parasitism in fragmented forests of Illinois, where songbirds native population has greatly been effected. I think the problem invasion in case of forest area specially starts when it get fragmented. The loss of habitat and formation new habitat creates ample opportunity for alien species be dominant over there and causing threatening of native population making them endangered and rare.
