Having listened to a talk given at our Birdclub meeting, one can only marvel at the logistics involved in such an undertaking. A huge mountain of equipment has to be assembled - and all from scratch, as there is no fully epuiped boat at hand for just such a disaster. And hey - since when have insurance companys professed a deep love for birdlife or other life for that matter. Beaurocracy kicks in, meetings, telephone calls etc etc take ages and meanwhile the clock is ticking. I am surprised they got their in 3 weeks. Why do we not hear what happened to the captain and crew who were negligent to the ends degree and have happily sailed home or so it seems. What an incompetent lot they must have been. Disgusting!!!!!!!!
