i love the links - just what I needed - thank you!

Hi...I'm in Alexandria, VA. We pass an Eagle nest in a tree on the GW Parkway right outside Old Town Alexandria every day when I take my 8 year old to school. There is a traditional looking (forgive me for not knowing the species) Eagle there occasionally. Today March 6 we were thrilled to see another bird with him/her. Now my eyes are pretty bad, but this one looked brown with brown splotches. I didn't see a white head. What's going on in that tree ;-)

It is unlikely that it is a Golden Eagles nest that you are seeing in Alexandria, More likely a Bald Eagles nest. The brown with white splotches is what a Bald Eagle looks like until it is five years of age. Then it will gain its white head and tail.

Hi, great list but definately not complete. What about the butlears eagle which is not listed?

Do you mean Bateleur? which is on the list

May I have permission to paint the picture of the eagle? Thanks!
